Depressed Poets

Seems that poets have to be depressed to be good. I guess great art comes with great emotion. I never thought I would enjoy the classics so much, but after taking the time to read them, it is very easy to relate to todays world. I've only ever heard Wordsworth and Keats, and shuddered at the name. But now, after immersing myself into their world, I am starting to understand why these people are are still read in High Schools and University's around the world.

Oh Boy!

Looks like the work is starting to pile on now! Lot's of reading, and reading poetry takes a while for me. Guess I will have to work on that. Kind of worried about that first poem. Looks like it is about 300 pages long! Oh well, little by little.

Both poems by William Blake really show the depth of his writing. He can go from a very simple poem in "Introduction", to a very heavy, sorrowful poem "The Chimney Sweeper". I enjoyed both poems thoroughly.
