Finshed!!

The last essay is done, and the class is nearly over. Who would have thought that my appreciation for Literature would have grown so much. Thank you Dr. K for the incredible knowledge and great learning environment. I have learned more from this class than I ever thought I would have.

Woolf is tough

If there is anything I learned from this class, it is that sometimes to enjoy a novel, you have to work. This book was so difficult to follow that it hurt. I ended up not really enjoying it, but an appreciation of the art was definitely established. Maybe I'll read it again and see if I feel the same way.

The Dead

I read The Dead. Not so much a short story as a long story. It was really incredible. Class is almost over, and I wonder if I will continue this blog. Guess we'll just have to see.

Web page finally done!

Well, that was a challenge getting the web page done, but once I figured out the page building software, I kind of got the hang of it. It was actually pretty enjoyable towards the last few mouse clicks! I'm still thinking about The Wasteland. Had a pretty big effect on me. Plus, I almost felt guilty for not having read it before. Time to start thinking about my paper now.

Yeats, Yeats, Yeats!!

Wow. I never read any Yeats before this class. Now I get it. He is an incredible story teller. His use of words to set a scene is unmatched, to me. Can't wait to see what poet we will tackle next! But, SPRING BREAK!! Time to wind down and make Aaron work on the house. hehehe.

SPRING BREAK!!! almost

Well, still working on the website. Can't wait for that to be done. Not as hard as I thought it would be, but still time consuming. Guess I will learn how to build a website though. Plus, it's almost spring break, and it will be some well deserved time off.

Great Expectations

Well, another book down, but a paper still to write. I really enjoyed Great Expectations, but it seemed a little cheesy to me sometimes. I guess "dated" is the word I'm looking for. The mood set by the book was incredibe, though. You could almost feel the mood swings at the different stages of Pip's life.
